LET’S has previously presented our Disability Awareness workshop to staff within the Emily Carr University of Art + Design EDI (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) Capacity Building Research department.
They requested us to present the workshop again. We changed up the material so staff wouldn’t have a complete repeat. Aside from a fire alarm that rang for 30 minutes in the middle of the workshop (ironically enough, exactly when Heather was talking about sensory overload and oversimulation). Participants had meaningful conversations during the breakout activities. It was nice to be back at Emily Carr and we look forward to being invited back again in the future.
