On behalf of Sport BC, I would like to congratulate you on being chosen by BC Disability Sports to receive the 14′” Annual Presidents’ Award. Sport BC is delighted to honour you at a special ceremony on Wednesday, March 5″, 2008, in the Georgia Room (2′” floor) at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver.
The Sport BC Presidents’ Awards promote and celebrate the spirit of volunteerism by giving member organizations an opportunity to acknowledge and thank an individual who has demonstrated outstanding dedication and commitment to their sport. Each year, over 50 deserving recipients are congratulated for the work they do for amateur sport in British Columbia.
All recipients are required to check in at Registration and to be inside the Georgia Room by 4:35 pm so the Ceremony can start promptly at 4:50 pm. The schedule for the Ceremony is as follows:
4:00 pm – Registration Table opens for Recipients
4:00 – 4:45 pm – Reception
4:50 pm – Ceremony Begins
6:05 pm – Ceremony concludes, reception for Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards Dinner begins
Please return the enclosed RSVP form before Friday, February 15*, 2008. Space at the Ceremony is limited; therefore, if you wish to bring a guest, please indicate so on the form. Underground parking is available at the hotel (regular rates apply) with entrances off Burrard Street or Melville Street.
As an award recipient, you receive one complimentary ticket to Sport BC’s Athlete of the Year Awards Dinner later that evening in the Regency Ballroom on the 3″‘ Floor of the hotel. The reception begins at 6:00 pm and dinner follows at 7:00 pm. Please check with your organization regarding a ticket for your guest (should it be required, a ticket order form is included for your convenience). There will be a seating chart at the Information table or in the reception area.
For any out of town recipients we have negotiated a discounted room rate. Please contact the Hyatt Regency Vancouver central reservations directly at 604-683-1234 by February 28* and provide the city, name of the function and the date to receive the discounted rate of $169.00.
