Lambda Board 

Heather McCain, LET’S Founder-Executive Director, joined the Lambda Scholarship Foundation Board. For over 40 years, Lambda has supported 2SLGBTQIA+ (Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, Plus) and QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) students across Canada through scholarships, mentorship, and advocacy that address systemic inequities in education and research.

Heather shared, “I am proud to be joining the board of Lambda. For 40 years, Lambda’s dedication to equitable education access and fostering diverse academic research has made it a cornerstone of 2SLGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC advocacy in Canada. By addressing historical discrimination and systemic marginalization, Lambda is paving the way for a more equitable Canada.”

Through this role, LET’S continues to extend its commitment to intersectional education, equity, and leadership – connecting disability justice with the broader movement for academic and community equity.
