Vancouver Writers Festival

CAN (LET’S) continued our work with the Vancouver Writers Festival (VWF) Accessibility Roundtable. Each committee member was invited to attend events. We will report back on the accessibility and inaccessibility in November and provide suggestions for moving forward. Our feedback will include information about production and operations, volunteers, outreach, and what specific action items they should add commit to moving forward. We commend VWF on the work they are doing. They are taking access needs seriously and working strategical to address them. They also have committed financially to this process, both by paying people with lived expertise and incorporating accessibility into their budget. This is a vital part of ensuring accessibility work is a priority and is consistent and reliable.
