Introducing: Minnie

In January, LET’S shared a posting for a new Digital Content and Communications Assistant to support our communications, storytelling, and digital organizing work. The part-time role (with flexible hours and in-person training followed by remote work) focuses on writing and designing digital newsletters, updating our website, and organizing digital materials that help share the work of our disabled, neurodivergent, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

Grounded in disability justice, LET’S encouraged applications from 2SLGBTQIA+, disabled, and neurodivergent folks, and highlighted qualities such as strong writing skills, familiarity with tools like WordPress, Mailchimp, and basic design platforms, as well as an interest in community-centered practices and collective care. We emphasized our commitment to an accessible, flexible work culture where team members are invited to name their access needs so we can co-create sustainable ways of working together.

We are thrilled to share that Minnie (she/they) has joined LET’S as our Digital Content and Communications Assistant. Minnie is a communications strategist, artist, and visual storyteller who is passionate about community organizing rooted in care, disability justice, culture, and art. They bring experience in designing newsletters, coordinating community events, and developing joyful, justice-oriented marketing that makes information more accessible for underrepresented communities.

Outside of their communications work, Minnie enjoys pottery, volunteering, drawing, and practicing kung fu and lion dance – practices that keep them grounded and connected to community and culture. We’re excited to welcome Minnie to the team and look forward to the stories, designs, and connections we will build together.
