Women’s Health Research Institute

For the 2nd year, LET’S collaborated with the Women’s Health Research Institute (WHRI) to create a sensory kit for their 11th Annual Women’s Health Research Symposium. Recognizing that full-day research events can be overwhelming, especially for disabled, neurodivergent, anxious, or sensory-sensitive participants, WHRI invited us to help make the symposium environment more accessible and supportive.

This ongoing partnership reflects a growing commitment within WHRI to embed accessibility into the design of their events. By planning for sensory needs as a standard part of symposium logistics, the Institute is taking concrete steps to ensure that disabled and neurodivergent researchers, trainees, and community members can participate more fully in conversations about women’s, trans, and gender-diverse health.
