Vancouver Pride Society

Following earlier community engagement roundtables, Vancouver Pride Society reached out to LET’S to work specifically on parade and festival accessibility for Pride 2026. Contacted by Business Operations Manager Chrysther Ong, VPS expressed interest in deepening accessibility planning and learning from the access work LET’S has been doing with them since 2019. This continued partnership reflects a recognition that accessibility at Pride is not a “nice to have,” but central to ensuring disabled, neurodivergent, and chronically ill 2SLGBTQIA+ community members can participate safely and joyfully.

Our consulting focuses on practical, event-level decisions – route design, staging and viewing areas, communication and wayfinding, masking and crowd considerations, sensory supports, and volunteer training.

We were honest about the disappointment from our communities about the move, in 2025, back to a less accessible location. Vancouver Pride staff have heard this from others and are trying to be responsive to the concerns and frustrations. We will continue to advise Vancouver Pride Society, in the hopes of them providing consistent accessibility.
