Proud to share this recent profile from the Vancouver Guardian highlighting the work of LET’S and the lived expertise that grounds everything we do. The piece reflects on how LET’S began in 2005, how we’ve grown, and why disabled, neurodivergent, and 2SLGBTQIA+ leadership remain at the centre of our work.

What started as a small chronic pain support group has become a community-rooted organization creating workshops, consultations, low-sensory spaces, sensory kits, and research collaborations across Turtle Island.

From the beginning, LET’S has been led by people with direct experience of the barriers we work to change, because lived expertise is not an add-on to this work, it is the foundation of it.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our story more widely and to see our values reflected in this profile. At a time when many organizations speak about equity without centring the voices of those most impacted, it matters to keep naming the leadership, knowledge, and accountability that disabled, neurodivergent, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities bring to the work.
